Fresh Plum Sorbet

Capture the luscious taste of Ontario Fruit in this easy frozen sorbet. Taste the fruit mixture before freezing and adjust the sweetness level to suit your family's preference. With only three ingredients, this sorbet is easy to make, delicious to eat and here's a dessert bonus -- it's fat-free too!

Ingredients: 
  • 3 cups (750 mL) halved pitted Ontario Blue or Prune Plums (about 8 Blue or 15 Prune), cooked and puréed
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) 100% Ontario Liquid Honey
  • 1/4 cup (50 mL) white corn syrup
Directions: 

Combine puréed fruit, honey and corn syrup; chill until very cold. Stir well and pour into ice-cream maker. Freeze according to manufacturer's directions.

Yield: 
About 2-2/3 cups (650 mL)
